Brian S. Cohen

Brian Cohen joined Bertrand, Fox, Elliot, Osman & Wenzel as an Associate in August 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cohen worked at multiple litigation firms in Northern and Southern California, where he represented shareholders, investors, employees, real estate developers, and various businesses in matters relating to partnership disputes, executive compensation, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other employment claims, fraud and breach of fiduciary actions, and complex tort matters involving multiple parties, including multiple class actions. On the defense side, Mr. Cohen has obtained numerous zero-dollar settlements for several companies, including a successful appeal of a six-figure judgment and a mutual walkway settlement after remand. On the plaintiff side, Mr. Cohen has achieved favorable results for clients of all types at mediation and through settlements in the early stages of trial, including a seven-figure settlement obtained on behalf of a real estate developer.

In 2011, Mr. Cohen graduated from Knox College with a major in English and a minor in American Politics. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2017.  During law school, Mr. Cohen was on the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal, obtained a Business Law certificate, and was a judicial extern at the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California (Honorable Robert N. Kwan).

Mr. Cohen has been an active member of the State Bar of California since 2017.
