John K. Salcedo

John K. Salcedo joined Bertrand, Fox, Elliot, Osman & Wenzel as an Associate in 2024. Mr. Salcedo’s practice focuses on litigation. At previous firms, Mr. Salcedo was a designated trial counsel who successfully represented clients from pre-litigation through case completion as a result of settlement, summary adjudication, and/or trial. As a result, Mr. Salcedo has extensive experience at all stages of civil litigation.


Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Salcedo was an associate with a public entity law firm based in Southern California, where he represented public entities in connection with a wide range of matters, including defending against civil rights, land use, Brown Act claims, personal injury matters involving employees of public entities. He also represented public entities in connection with unlawful detainers on behalf of housing authorities and code enforcement. Mr. Salcedo has represented public entities across California. Before that, Mr. Salcedo was an associate with a national litigation firm, where he successfully defended individual and business clients in personal injury matters.


Mr. Salcedo earned his Juris Doctor with a litigation focus from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, NY in 2014. While in law school, Mr. Salcedo held internships with multiple public entities, including the New York Attorney General’s Office, the New Jersey Bureau of Securities, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and the King’s County District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Salcedo earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008.


Mr. Salcedo was admitted to the State Bar of California in April 2018 and is currently active. Mr. Salcedo is also admitted to the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.
